April 21 (Reuters) - Ukrainian state-owned gas company Naftogaz has held talks with Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM.N), Halliburton (HAL.N) and Chevron (CVX.N) about projects in Ukraine as the country looks to lure back foreign investment to its energy sector, the Financial Times reported on Friday.

Call me cynical, but they're defending themselves from Putin taking their resources, only to surrender them to the US instead. They're being played either way. Ukraine itself can not win. Ukraine is the prize for whoever does win.
