The fight against Thunderann is a peice of piss actually, only 300odd k health. We had to kill him twice because the looting was fucked in the first kill and our guy couldn't get the quest item, so we just spawned and pwned him again and no you don't need all the stuff to spawn him again either.
He does nature damage so have a hunter in the group with the MT with Aspect of the wild up.
