Hey all my programs worked fine (I think) 999999 was a great end of fie marker for us. I wrote the main Cobol update program for a major (nah, won't tell you the name) life insurance company in the early 1970's. Yep, I'm old. (oh, they're still around by the way, with the same name, albeit owned by one of the multi nationals).
