Looking at some articles on sexual assaults at local schools, I noted that one of the chaps pictured had te moku - which is pretty cool I thought. Until I realised he was referred to as the Head Student. Of a Boys' school. I mean, I know St Andrews changed to rules to allow girls to attend, but they weren't called St Andrews Boys'. Or does the very matter of attendance at a school named with a gender in the title oppress?
Then I had a closer look. The article in the locally reported media outlets (ie The Press) called him the head boy. But the
RNZ version dialed up the woke factor.
I hope none of the trick or treaters go near my lawn next week...
