I usually don't read Slate, it's a lot of opinions I'd like to believe, but with sources that are too fringe. However, the article is comprehensive, largely using direct quotes or primary sources.
Flies in the face of US criticism of WHO. It's clear we had plenty of opportunity to mitigate what the US is dealing with, and WHO led the way in warning the world of the pandemic.
