HENCE WHY FOREVER ALONE

I really feel for Maori. I mean it's impossible for them to get anywhere in life because this country is racist and holds them back, as we heard from Taika Waititi on a Zoom call from Hollywood. Dr Shane Reti of the National Party has his facts, but just because HE'S a doctor and a politician doesn't mean that everyone has that opportunity.

The other Maori who are in our country's Parliament, such as Nanaia Mahuta and the other 15 or so, obviously don't realise that it's impossible for Maori to achieve because of the systemic racism. They are vulnerable to being fed bullshit by rich Maori like Brian Tamaki and his wife. We don't hear much from the dedicated Maori seat MPs who are all earning $100k+, and it seems all the money that our country gives to the "elite Maori" to support Maoridom doesn't trickle down - it's probably that Western-Christian ideology that they've been taught. They would have shared it equally, but you know, they got colonized, so that's no longer an option.

It really doesn't help whenever our Maori ex-deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters suggests that it's a matter of individual choices and responsibility and not racism. Yet single mother crackheads with no skills or education end up in social housing, just because they are Maori! If they had a "white person look" - such as a full set of teeth - it would be a different story entirely. The money we dish out to people who have kids when they can't afford to support them just isn't enough to feed 3 or 4 mouths AND a glass pipe. If you're going to give free money, at least make it enough to comfortably waste on shit you don't need, otherwise how is that a viable alternative to working?

We need to face reality. If you can't even name a successful Maori off the top of your head, then it's obvious you're dealing with systemic racism, and place names need to change.
