The only reason it's even newsworthy is because of the Trump situation which made it noteworthy due to the egregiousness.
I bet it's been done by every bloody president and vice for decades.
Whoever has done it should be held accountable according to the proportionality of the offence, intent, and willingness to comply.
I mean. Reality shouldn't really need to be explained.
But it's 2023 and MAGA exists. Go figure.
