I recall a politician who would unapologetically impinge upon a young person against the advice of their own wife. In that case as well, the media let docorum lapse in the pursuit of a juicy story, misleading the young person to get extra details about the story.
This is a bit of an own goal tho. They could have let due process play out, kept the rumours churning, new accusations dripping in.
But, as is the status quo, the future doesn't exist, we want everything now. The future can burn. Literally. 🤷
