My flatmate has a Z3 compact I believe. So far he's had one completely die (two months old) - would not charge, power on, respond to any button pressing combinations. Second one arrived to replace it, and it's spat the dummy a couple of times when trying to send SMS or make phone calls. Other than that he's pretty happy with it too. Slick integration with other Sony appliances.
