I got a galaxy s1 as a work phone. it's not great but it works okay for a free phone. crashes a fair bit and gets pretty hawt when I am doing stuff. but I can use apps and stuff.
I would take one over an iphone if there was more then a $200-300 price difference. if they were dollar for dollar and I had to get a phone would be an iphone I reckon.
don't really see how it is garbage though. does stuff, works okay, no worse then a MS OS.
