Admittedly my google skills are fairly lame but I can't find a single study saying there is a strong link.

So I guess it either doesn't exist or is just not reproducible in a double blind test (i.e. it is probably caused by god when the heathen scientists aren't looking).
Randomly came across the study I had been thinking of:
