Parents who do that shit to their kids are on my list of "first against the wall when I rule world" unless he changed his name in which case his folks are spared and he takes their place.
I'm used to going through life spelling my surname as soon as I say it, but fuck having people snigger some moments after I introduce myself (and then the penny drops).
