Some are not that hard - scissors or a sharp knife will make short work of opening them. But some are ridiculously difficult to open with any type of cutting device and the plastic itself is dangerously sharp - you have to be careful not to cut yourself on the cut plastic.
Amazon have used the easy opening packaging as a positive point for many of their products.
