Apart from the link not working what recent dealings made with this company gave you poor service?

Sgt Seb 19th February 2002 21:16

not recent, beginning of last year. basically very poor service when i had a fault with some equipment i had bought off them.

their service is shocking compared to other companies ive dealt with.

Blam 19th February 2002 21:39

update..

Sgt Seb Posted:
>not recent, beginning of last year

This company has had new Owners/Management since August 2001 and the reason www.pivotal.co.nz is a dead link is because of this change of owners.

Please be aware http://www.pivotalcomputers.co.nz/ has only recently had a web presence since the transition, My interests have been helping get there site back online.

I hope this clears the air regarding this companys good name.

Blam.

Monika 19th February 2002 21:58

It is always hard when acquiring a business that has traded in the past under someone else - you have to take the good with the bad.....
Unfortunately for Sgt Seb, got the previous owner of Pivotal obviously at a bad time. Would like to think he will definitely get excellent service now that new owners/management have come on board. Service and price is what makes the world go around!!!

Sgt Seb 21st February 2002 00:08

so you are associated with them re: website?

are they still in the same location?

We have acquired the business from the previous owner, although we are a seperate company - hence the name Pivotal Computers (2001) Limited. Previous owner has moved overseas.

No not in the same location - we are now an on-line shopping store, although if you wanted to pick something up instead of having it couriered out to you it is not a problem.

To broaden my last response to you - we have also had problems and are still having problems with the past owner of Pivotal Computers, so I can understand why you would think they gave you bad service - they did!!!! We acquired the business from the previous owner - namely Terry Tse, in August 2001, in good faith and goodwill on our part and have had nothing but grief from him since!!!!

We are endeavouring to change people's perception of the company name and it may even have to get to the point where we totally disassociate ourselves from Pivotal.

If anyone else has had issues with Pivotal in the past, please air your issues so that we can sort them out and start over.....

Real life stores..

This morning I went to C-Tech in Manukau to buy a case fan and CPU Fan, they had a steady stream of people coming in, I waited and waited and waited.. Others got served and I waited.. I walked out..

I went two doors down to OEM Computers and was confronted by another busy shop.. I was also approached as soon as I walked in the door.. I made a purchase and was very happy.. I didn't really care about the price as it was sub $50.. They even had my prevoius purchases on file :)

I'm not dishing C-Tech I just wanted to buy something sooner rather than later..

o-bot|Centurion 4th March 2002 21:13

Anyone mentioned www.aquire.co.nz ?

another bump for hotchips.co.nz - love them, love them.

and pp.co.nz can burn in hell - when a person orders a new psu, does it mean they want it 5 days from now with a cc charge added on top? don't fucking think so - their computer won't boot, it means it has to be here yesterday.. ffs. stupid fags. argh.

eek. They informed me of the cc charge when i ordered, they do take a while to get stuff sometimes. Maybe they don't keep a lot of stock on hand...

e-one is fast and have really good prices (especially if u have a vip account, I've ordered about 20k worth, and the owner gives me discount on VIP prices... nice guy to deal with even if his england is not good.) Also gave me a 107s when i ordered a 105s and said 'we think you'd like the 17" better'. no price change.

he he he.

Suggestions for online computer stores:
- If you want to make me impulse buy, make sure you offer a proper web store type system with credit card transactions. Can't beat the convenience.
- Include the delivery charge in the price. Make sure you state that you do clearly.
- At the absolute bare minimum, you MUST provide the manufacturer's part number or name for each item so that the actual product you're selling can be identified. If you can, include a link to the manufacturer's page for the product. Pictures are good as well, but if you do have pictures make sure they're actually the right ones.
