Do you use the pencil to type?

zeekiorage 29th May 2008 20:39

No, you just have to sharpen your finger tips.

Juice 29th May 2008 23:49

How not to do it

The last NZGames write off I remember was Goose_ after the original HamLAN? Evidence of my first (and hopefully last) big accident on Tuesday. Distracted at 100k's finishing a can of V, left wheels into gravel ditch, corrected, whole car slid right then sideways/backwards off road, front passenger door hit tree and car spun back around. Walked away, very lucky, passenger compartment is gone, so happy I was alone.

crocos 30th May 2008 00:01

Fuck man, buy a lotto ticket or something stat while your luck is holding!

ZoSo 30th May 2008 00:05

Damn that's a close call. Good to hear you walked away.

Claymore 30th May 2008 00:18

Lucky bugger indeed ! Hope you are insured :D

Don't drink and drive people ;)

crocos 30th May 2008 00:22

The tree drank V and nearly flew right through the car.

FireStorm 30th May 2008 01:56

Fuck that's scary. I'm just imagining if that was my car and my gf was in the passenger seat, holy shit, what a horrible thought! I need to take it easier on rural roads. Glad that you're ok dude.

CCS 30th May 2008 02:22

Is the tree okay?

chiQ 30th May 2008 07:56

Glad you're okay and were alone, dude. That could have been nasty.

I thought the same thing... Do alot of rural driving... Although if you were going faster, would you have been paying more attention? Lulled into a false sense of security because you were doing the "golden 100" ?

Always fully insured. Could probably buy a newer VR4 Legnum with the the insurance cash but was starting to feel the petrol bill anyway. Drive this road every time I go to town which means thousands of times in last 20 yrs. Current habit is to get a V for the road, wasn't in a hurry and could have been 20k's quicker but concentrating with both hands would have been on the wheel.

Grazes/Bruises on left shin - left knee - left elbow, bumps and grazes on both sides of head, glass cuts on left side of face and muscle strains both sides of mid to lower back. Crash at 5pm out of hospital 10:30pm.

Lotto Tickets ready to roll.

cEvin 30th May 2008 14:15

hope you plant a new one~

Cheeps 30th May 2008 14:33

That is so incredibly lucky there was no one on that side, cause that would not have been pretty.
Least ya alright could you call the Ambulance etc yourself or did someone stop?

]- Volatile -[ 30th May 2008 15:15

One less idiot driving a turbo on the road.

I've been told those things drive like couches so I'm not surprised really.

I've still got photo's of a mate who rolled his car off the road out past Karori in Makara. They called me so I could pick them up while they were waiting for the cops. I should post 'em.

Not often you barrel roll a car off a cliff and climb out to talk about it while waiting for the cops.

Was let out of back hatch by first local to stop. Wandered off into paddock and tried to call friend to pick up but no reception, prob 10 people on the scene within 3 minutes. Someone else called it in.

Turbo is irrelevant. One less idiot who feels the need to suck the last drops from a can of V is probably more accurate.

Haha. They probably do compared to say an Evo but compared to another mid sized wagon? Horses for courses.

Anyway about to do the same trip at the same speed in a 1300 Ford Fiesta minus the V. Hope you all enjoy your weekend as much as I'm going to ;) .

Phantom 30th May 2008 19:13

Glad to see you survived dude - your nicely balanced replies there earned some respect in my book :)

StN 30th May 2008 19:47

Um - they seem to be agressive - firing arrows and spears at the metal bird...

BuLLiTT 30th May 2008 19:48

A good panelbeater could fix that....

Erazhure 30th May 2008 20:03

..sure... for the price of....say... a new car?...

crazy crash dude... glad you ok.. and very glad you were alone.

Helious 30th May 2008 20:15

what the fuck? a good panel beater could fix that?

Toksin 30th May 2008 20:49

CCS 30th May 2008 21:04

Bit of bog and she'll be sweet, mate.

JP 30th May 2008 21:13

Just get it towed in for the warrant. All Good.

Helious 30th May 2008 21:27
