One thing I hate (most online stores do this) is NOT say what brand the ram is. Quite annoying when shoopind around : (

So maybe list ram brand? : D

Mentor 11th November 2002 22:20

www.pcmodshop.co.nz

Not exactly your standard pc parts but a few bits here you won't find elsewhere.

OldPCMan 12th November 2002 21:42

e-ones good

bought my pc last yr from them.....specified wot i want........never had to deal with them since coz it's stable as and runs sweet.

[yf]mildew 13th November 2002 17:52

after hours comparing prices on web sites i decided that

http://www.etccomputers.co.nz/
http://www.kimmiecom.co.nz/
http://www.xpcomputer.co.nz/

were the cheapest auckland shops (ti4200 64 mb $285 +GST)

theyre all bait and switch crooks of course - if you want honesty then DTC http://www.dtconline.co.nz/ is your shop!!!

m

Waldo 25th November 2002 13:15

yup im for either e-one cause there down the road. or hotchips
for my pc bits these days.

OldPCMan 27th November 2002 23:12

yup

e-ones good

i think a good pc retailer is one which after u buy the pc, u never deal with them until u need a new one again :).

Ba'alzaman 11th December 2002 22:38

personally I support hotchips as they are fairly local to me and have always given fast answers when I have had a query. Not necessarily the cheapest although prices are pretty good, but service is what matters to me.

that and they are a nzgames.com supporter ;)

buying a new monitor and a geforce4 ti4200 off them over the next few weeks :D

Chrono 16th December 2002 02:13

www.cbcnz.com

as the Manager/Owner of Custom Built Computers I would just like to say that we do exist at www.cbcnz.com and welsome any Qustions, critisim, commants and of course new customers. and for a limated time any one who orders more than $100 of products and mentions this message will receve FREE delivery

Nic Wood 16th January 2003 13:19

Oops

this was ment to be attached to the bottem of the PC shop message if one of the moderaters would move it there that would be great

Phantom 16th January 2003 14:12

For a limited period, you can't post commercial spam in here! :D!

er.. actually, that's an unlimited period.

but wait, there's more! expect this thread to be closed, any time now

Phantom 16th January 2003 14:13

oh right. heh.

nothing to see here...

Alucard 16th January 2003 14:19

other companies offer free delivery and not just for a limited time...

Wake 16th January 2003 14:24

Do your prices include GST?
They better do :D

Nic Wood 16th January 2003 14:35

GST inc

yes all are gst inc.
the reason I dont include delivery in my prices is that I dont see the lodgic in charging freight to somone who comes and pickes up the goods.

duckstab 16th January 2003 14:49

i don't see the lodgic (sic) in you trying to run a buisness when you can't even spell words like 'logic' and 'picks' and 'somone'.

Wake 16th January 2003 15:00

hey guys, lay off :)

Nic Wood 16th January 2003 15:00

I am sorry about my spelling mistakes but I type quite fast and I sometimes make mistakes (which a spellchecker or a proof-read will correct) I dont see how you can judge how I run my business just because I have a few mistakes in a forum post anyway

VERT 16th January 2003 15:00

adds the words:

Qustions, critisim, commants and limated

to duckstab's list

"We have complain of your engrish" :)

[edit] sorry

Nic Wood 16th January 2003 15:04

thank you Wake I hope there are a few more frendly people like you in this forum ;)

Wake 16th January 2003 15:04

these guys are a pack of bastards anyway :)

Though, not sure how simon feels about advertising

Logik 16th January 2003 15:06

yeah hi

Bahamut 16th January 2003 15:09

You may want to take a look at your site using a Mozilla based browser such as Phoenix then iron out a few bugs. :)

Nic Wood 16th January 2003 15:13

my message was ment to be attached to the bottem of the computer shops thread which is just kind of one big advertising board for any computer shop in New zealand (that was my idea of it anyway)

Nic Wood 16th January 2003 15:16

we are crrrently (and allways) trying to make our site more user frendly. thank you for pointing out the problem with mozzila I will see to it that we fix that ASAP

BloodDonor 16th January 2003 15:23

is it me or does the Hyundai L50A 15" LCD monitor image on the main page not load?

anyways good to know of a new site, like to keep my options open ;)

Wake 16th January 2003 15:26

Nic Wood, you mind if I email you a question?

Nic Wood 16th January 2003 15:26

LCD image

I have just tested this image and it seems to be working fine. do you mind telling me what browser you are using? does it just come up with the "X" icon?

Bahamut 16th January 2003 15:27

That image loads fine for me, but the two logo images at the top of the page don't load for me. And that Games link a little bit down the page looks very wrong.
The text for any of the listings also looks a little too small by default font settings/sizes in Phoenix.
Some of the other images like the ones indicating prize drops etc also don't load.

Nic Wood 16th January 2003 15:29

sure thing wake send me an email and I'll have you a reply ASAP
