Thought I'd start a thread on this. Peter Slipper, Craig Thomson, corrupt unions and Dr No - oh my!

The thing that gets me most about the current situation is that although Labor are doing an adequate job IMO, the opposition have so much ammunition due to one or two deadbeats on the government side so that they get away with saying so many wrong things. It's pretty obvious that the coalition are going to get in next year on the false premise that they can do better than Labor and will either do significant damage to quality of life or pull a NZ National party trick of adopting most of Labor's economic policies.

Labor are going to get smashed at the next election, and deservedly so. The only question is by how much - will it be a beating from which they can rebuild as a less-corrupt party, or will it be the end of Labor as a force in Australian politics?
