Installing quake on Windows 11 / Mac

Hey - what's the recommended quake world server and client to install these days on windows 11 / latest mac?

Wanna intro my daughters to it, but I'm too old and grumpy to have to research what to install.

AI-chan tells me your client options for Win11 are: ezQuake, nQuake, or FTEQW. For macOS: ezQuake or FTEQW.

For the server, you've got QWDS, FTEQW or Fodquake.
