Made by the people who bought you KOTOR2........ totaly skipping it.

Torka 11th October 2006 13:32

Man, I know people don't play this sort of game for the graphics technology, but that's looking seriously dated and it isn't even out yet.

You mean the guys that brought us Fallout, Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, and the Buldurs Gate series?

The same guys that were told to release KOTOR before it was ready by Lucasarts. The guys who stated the game was in a less than finished state. The guys who wanted to finish the game they started.

moron

I hope

Still annoy's me if you were a female charcter you couldn't get hookers. Being a lesbain was frowned on.

Cyberbob 12th October 2006 09:35

Bioware got points for Baldur's Gate, MDK, NWN, and Jade Empire.
They lost points for KOTOR.

They're still in positive numbers in my opinion :]

Indeed, but NWN2 is an Obsidian game, not Bioware.

Obsidian was founded by Feargus Urquhart THE god of CRPGs and Chris Avellone the main man behind Planescape. Thus my excitement is embiggend

No. Planescape was by Black Isle, BGate was by BioWare and only Fallout was made by them. KOTOR2 was by Obsidian. While there was some of the same people from Interplay in Obsidian it hardly classifies as "the same guys". Infact the majority of Interplay titles were something they published, not produced.

KOTOR was awesome.

Awesome.

KOTOR 2, not so much.

BadNova 13th October 2006 09:46

KOTOR2 was about as awesome as a punch in the ballsack.

(receiving, not giving)

Mabd 13th October 2006 13:43

Based on your stringent sackpunching test regime, Nova? :D

BadNova 13th October 2006 15:51

You got it

ozborni 19th June 2007 22:15

Hi All just wondered if the people who bought this game were aware of the persistent world created by nz'rs and hosted by xnet (ie very fast!)
http://www.judur.co.nz/ a lot of work has gone into it and its very fun to play! (here are some pics from last weekend)

Mabd 20th June 2007 19:40

May have a mosey at some stage... I was underwhelmed by NWN2.

And WoW got me.

Draco T Bastard 20th June 2007 22:19

After trying many games where people tried to get DnD onto the computer I finally gave up on them. DnD just does not translate well to PC gaming.

dylan 22nd June 2007 03:45

Rushed to the shops to buy it...could hardly wait till it was installed...

then never played it again : /

ozborni 29th June 2007 23:20

Yeah while I dont agree with the title of this thread, p2p's will always own f2p's imo, for those of us who can't or would prefer not to spend money monthly on games this is a great fun/fast alternative.

People playing have donated enough for them to have their own independent rack server (whatever that means! lol) but its nice and fast.

More maps / quests being added all the time too.. :)

0ctopus8 2nd July 2007 18:05

I loved nwn 2 :) It isn't as good as the original ,but it's still pretty good ;) I found the many opportunities to develop your character really interesting. I mean all the new feats and skills :) Also the new classes and prestige classes are really fresh and increase the number of combinations. The story wasn't that bad either.

ozborni 16th July 2007 21:50

Me too mate, I can't wait for the expansion too.

Thought I'd post an update (quest from last week) anyone interested in a good free (after buying initial software), damn fast online rpg, should check it out :) so many more players playing now

Jenza 16th July 2007 22:59

Wow Kobalds. They look new and interesting.

ozborni 23rd July 2007 22:21

Yeah man the dev's are constantly adding new worlds and content. The community is growing too.. So any NZ / AUS rpg'rs out there come and see it :)

Great fun!

ozborni 4th December 2007 00:09

Hi All,
Just thought I'd let you all know this is still going strong

Note:
Players have donated enough for their own rack server
Judur is hosted by ISP Xnet so its damn fast
Huge amount of work put in
Devs hear your pleas and respond with action promptly!
DM's jump on regularly
A good 40 odd areas with more being added regularly

For some reason I played this through till about Act2 then stopped.

I just noticed the icon on my desktop still the other night so booted it up and I'm really enjoying playing it again.

Considering getting the expansion now so I can import my Monk when I've finished...
