I remember watching this documentary on Netflix a year ago and thinking how powerful and emotional the story was. I was sold on how evil the Russians were, how valiant these men were in their effort to find some civility among the chaos.
Then a few months ago I started reading that the whole thing was fabricated propaganda. There's photos of the same people being "rescued" multiple times, there's videos of White Helmets being the clean-up crew after executions. The whole thing started to stink.

Anyone else following this? What the hell is going on?

Putin's Russia is engaged in an incredibly deep incredibly broad incredibly long-term information war on the West. The objective is not to make you believe that some things are one way or another way (i.e., it's not propaganda); the objective is to destroy the notion of objective truth in media and get citizens of Western nations to give up on news. To give up on believing that they can trust anything.

And it works right? It gets all of us in one way or another.

Still, I reckon the effort is too little, too late by the Russians. Both social and technical advances are outstripping any means to manipulate us away from the truth. Society is growing sophisticated at a rate that far exceeds any state's capacity for advancement.

Ethereum is the leading edge of that on the technical side. The social side is similarly esoteric, obvious examples that can be pointed to typically tend to arrive distorted. The #MeToo movement for example is powerful, and also comes with a lot of baggage.

Considering how close the election result was in the US its clear to me that their influence got Trump across the line. It makes the US election fixing operations in south american and the middle east look like amateur hour.

There is a large part of the population that is ready to belive anything. Obama the anti-christ, not born in the US..a muslim. Moon landing hoaxes. Evis still alive. Jesus Christ!

Block chain wont help when state actors get involved.

I wonder how you hold this group of believers in mind. Is it a nebulous idea, or do you have some kind of specific understanding?

In other news, by all reports China has stopped buying USD Treasuries, and is now trading oil in PetroYuan (Oil for Gold). China has the largest holdings of Gold of any nation. Trump's trade war tariffs is perhaps a necessary show of force against China's actions (no more rubbish recycling, no more USD, a move to gold / oil-backed economy) but I can't see how any of this would significantly hurt China.

Hmm, people are very divided on the truth regarding the use of chemical weapons. UN and OPCW seem to agree that chemical weapons have indeed been used in Syria. So in my mind there is no doubt about the use of chemical weapons. The question is whether Assad's military is responsible or not. UN notes that much of the Syrian military stockpiles have been captured by "rebels", so Syrian weaponry could be used by anyone at this stage.

I can't help but feel it is very out of character, and very unwise for someone like Assad to be issuing orders to use chemical weapons on civilians.

According to this timeline, despite the blame often being put on Assad and the Syrian Regime, fact finding missions have found very little evidence to support this. Rather, it is more likely that Al Qaeda has the resources to produce and use chemical weapons.

- Robert Fisk on the ground in Douma: People living in basements and tunnels are suffocating in dust clouds kicked up by bombs and strong winds.
- The White Helmets arrive at hospital and yell "Gas attack!" in order to make people suitably panicked for a photo op.

The propaganda is extremely slick with:
- The "news" from MSNBC, CNN, et al. Continuing to refer to "chemical attacks" when no independent investigation (UN, OPCW, et al) has proven the use of chemical weapons, and if the weapons were used it was by pro-US "rebels".
- Every night Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Noah Trevor, Bill Maher, Jimmy Kimmel shit on moves toward peace and encourage war by supporting people like Clinton, Albright, and the FBI. Personally, this is the saddest part that they have been "recruited" and their integrity has been strip-mined to push an agenda.
- The "book tours" are well-timed to remind us who to adore and who to fear. Hillary, then Albright, then Comey.
- Albright writing a book warning about Fascism is some kind of cosmic joke like AntiFa. Trust me, I'm a psychopath.
- This is about natural gas pipelines, this is not a talking point on any news channel.
- This is about multiple countries shifting away from the Petrodollar, this is also not a talking point for obvious reasons (the world economy would crash if more people believed the USD has very limited growth opportunities)
- If Clinton had the power, she would be sodomising Xi Jinping, Assad, and Hassan Rouhani with bayonets

- Look at how MSNBC suddenly forgets all of Trump's faults, and falls in love when the bombs fly: MOAB discussed, and boots on the ground in Yemen gets a standing ovation. Remember, Yemen is getting fucked in every way possible by Saudi Arabia. How are they a threat to anything?

Despite my "doom porn" reading list, I am optimistic and don't think it's all FUBAR. I think we are almost at critical turning point where people are becoming immune to the lies. Trump is a fool and an ugly person through and through, but his presidency has exposed an amplification in the message from the globalists that appears desperate and tries in many ways to insist that things are true, but the truth they push is always a move towards war and chaos. I became aware of it when the body snatchers came for Jimmy Fallon (who I used to enjoy) with that hideous Miley Cyrus + Hillary Clinton Thank You note sketch (vomit).

I believe if the US breaks free from the British Empire, there will be a great peace on earth (I'm not exaggerating). If the US is free to join with China and Russia then they can work together to bring about the One Belt, One Road Project (aka New Silk Road). If you follow La Rouch PAC, you will agree that this is a move towards peace.

Send Hillary and Bill Clinton to jail for their "Pay to Play" schemes. Send George Soros to jail for destabilising Greece, Ukraine, and seeding chaos throughout the world.

I too think we're heading this way, although I reckon it'll be a long, slow process. I think we're past the point where our naivete can be exploited, now it's our cynicism which is being exploited.

Assuming reality is coherent, lies can only lead to collapse. It's a matter of seeing how harsh that collapse will be. I'm hopeful we'll open our eyes in time to avoid the worst of it. But maybe we'll see some modern equivalent of the Haitian revolution.

Yeah, the West has really burnt up any moral authority it might have had. I mean, maybe it never had any in the first place, but I think immediately post WWII the rebuilding of Europe and Japan went a long way to building that up. The Soviets were happy to let their army rape Germany, until Western allies got them to put a stop to it.

But then I think about how the US bombed the hell out of fledgling Communist nations post WWII, so I don't really know.

Even right up to Pearl Harbour, the US looked like it was planning to not get involved with WWII, even to defend an ally. Frankly they've zero moral authority.
