A plan to demolish a building in Cankiri, central Turkey went badly wrong when the 25-metre high structure rolled over onto its roof.

A Corpse 4th August 2009 00:43

The chinese should build buildings like that instead of with the lowest-bidder dodgy-as-fuck contractor's papier-mâché shit they use for concrete. Instead of tens of thousands dying in an earthquake they'd have just gone for a fun ride into the valley.

Impressive to watch eh, I spend hours watching boxers train. It's my most favourite thing in the world. The ART of Boxing. I've researched and eagerly watched/appreciated the Heavyweight division for a while now.. I'm not really into the lighter divisions tbh. Floyd Maywhether Jnr. or Roy Jones Jnr. are awesome to watch, but that's history.

September 26th 2009 Vitali Klitschko fights USA # 1 prospect Chris Arreola for the WBO title who has an impressive 27 wins with 24 knockouts and no defeats/draws. I personally prefer a technical fighter like Klitschko(Vitali and Wladimir; brothers, have dominated the 4 main titles for the last 5 years; basically forcing Lennox Lewis to retire(Vitali)) but i'm interested to see what this Mexican-USA Based Chris Arreola brings to the ring. Vitali has a PHd in in sports medicine and philosophy so he's definitely a more well-disciplined/researched fighter. You only have to watch Arreola in interviews to know he's a lazy cunt, but has raw potential. He's ALWAYS grossly overweight in his professional fights. Apparently he had an amateur record of 300 fights and he was a good 100 pounds lighter, I'm hazy on the details. Gonna be a massive fight though. Vitali is getting OLD, but at 6ft 7.5inches, he's fucking huge. His record speaks for itself 37 wins, 36 knockouts. 2 loses, 1 of them to Lewis who was FUCKING LUCKY and the other one was an injury which forced him to retire.

Then a week later you have David Tua vs Shane Cameron and personally I think Tua is going to really hurt Cameron. Cameron based on footage/training/interviews i've watched is very disrespectful and arrogant in regards to Tua's ability. There's talking up a fight, then there's being a fucking idiot, from what i've seen Cameron he is being an uber-smackcock - walking around, publicly wearing t-shirts that say "O FOR AWESOME". Tua's record speaks for itself. If Cameron wins, it'll be the same way Lewis won and I don't think Cameron has a FUCKING CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING.

Tua has never been cut, never been dropped, never been counted. GOOD LUCK Cameron, you egotistical maggot.

seriously? the HW division atm is probably the weakest its ever been, whereas in the lighter divisions you have guys like pacman, mayweather, cotto, mosley, marquez... Roy Jones is def over the hill though he needs to retire before he becomes a punching bag.

Yeah Roy Jone Jr. is going downhill soo fast I'd almost think Manny Pacquiao would be able to take him out despite the massive size difference....ALMOST

Wahlberg is bound to drag down The Lovely Bones a notch. I know nothing of the book but the trailer looks decent, except for when he speaks. Gosling would have capped that ensemble off nicely.

So, would it be possible to make something that stays permanently in that state without requiring liquid nitrogen to change it?

The train on the building side looks great, but what happens if the liquid nitrogen suddenly fails/depletes/dissappears due to something going wrong? Splat.

What happens if a nuclear power plant has a meltdown?

Didn't stop them from building those.

p-b 6th August 2009 22:35

That is true, but I guess it's not really what I was getting at.

More of the case that, it doesn't seem like much of a step forward to move from relying on one fuel to another.

You mean like, the holy grail of superconductors?

I think the basic plan goes something like:

1. ???
2. Room temp superconductor
3. Profit!!!

P.S. Magnets.

No it's not about breasts.

Thomas Meatball 7th August 2009 03:31

But... it can involve breasts somehow, right? Like, instead of a boring 2D picture of a naked lady, it'd be all 3D and shit and you can check out her breasts from all angles.

Mmmm breasts.
