And even though I support Canterbury, it was very hard cheering the Blues last night ;)

Good game last night. I'm a Blues fan but I've got to give it up for that young Canterbury 1st 5 - he had some skills, that chip and then pin point pass was very impressive. I quite like the reconditioning thing for the all blacks is giving some of these younger guys a chance to show what they are made of.

Flavell played a great game. Had a hand in lots of the action. That catch and pass to set up the try showed great skill. He looks hungry to try and get into that world cup squad. I thought the card was a bit harsh - but I guess it's just because it is Flavell - the 'bad boy' and that is really the problem, he doesn't really do that uch 'bad boy' stuff now days but he has got that rep so is watched closer. Notice that Devine (or was it Gibson?) was rucking the guy even further away from the ball and didn't even get talked to?

I wasn't sure about Isa in a first five. Don't get me wrong, I like him as a player, but I thought with Holwell in the team Isa should be at fullback. But he did play very well at first five last night and that chase down on Hamilton was gold!

Anyone catch the highlanders match? I can't really find a good write up on it.

OMG I bombed out so badly after the 1st 2 games getting 16 I think I only got the cheetahs game at the end of the round

Seeing as most of the points were around that mark I wouldnt be totally upset by it. It'll only get tougher too. Though I don't think I'll be picking the canes for a few weeks

I got 32 points, surprising because the two games I watched I picked the entirely wrong team to win :P

as a supporter, I find it hard NOT to pick them (ie how can I support a team and not back them week by week?)
