I saw it about a week after Sixth Sense, and the two were too similar in an Armageddon/Deep Impact/Day after Tomorrow kinda way.

I should really see it again. I'm hoping that with the exposure that top 20 list is getting, there'll be a pack of all 20 available at some stage

Interesting.
The comment about The Matrix was funny.
Also was surprised to hear what he thought about Unbreakable. I thought it was a reasonable movie, definitely better than it's credited, but "one of the masterpieces of our time" seems to be stretching it a little...

Spink 21st August 2009 12:53

Samuel L Jackson in Unbreakable reminded me of that guy from the IT Crowd with the similarish hair :(

M Night Shyamalan is an interesting Director.

Looking at his IMDB profile, he only directed a couple of movies prior to directing Unbreakable with actors like Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson.

Those two prior movies must have been really good.

Looks like Unbreakable 2 is in development?

I don't know about now, but I believe that Unbreakable 2 was planned (maybe three was well?) originally, but because the first wasn't nearly as successful as hoped they canned the other one/two.

ZoSo 22nd August 2009 11:59

After making The Happening, he should take an extended break.

I thought it was dead-on. I was floored by The Matrix when it came out. I remember walking home from the cinema just going "fuck me, what was that?"

this is why you don't build your own 4-link/ladder setup and you get the pro's to do it instead.

the moment he steps out the car and goes ":D _b DAYYUMMMMM" you just know it was a home job.
